NATTY LOU
Cardiff, United Kingdom
Natty Lou is a Drum and Bass DJ hailing from Cardiff, South Wales. Although originally from the UK, she has been living and working throughout Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Natty is currently sponsored by Drum and Bass’ number 1 streetwear brand, Concrete Junglists.
Natty is not new to the scene. Her love and passion for Drum and Bass began in 2008 whilst studying and living in Bristol. She was an original member of the dance troupe ‘Bass Honeys’, and was often seen performing at DnB nights alongside the likes of Dillinja, Drumsound & Bassline smith, Sigma, Crissy Criss, Cyantific and more.
Natty started mixing whilst living in Hong Kong, and became resident for China’s largest DnB Label, ‘Unchained Asia’. She is best known for playing heavy dancefloor bangers and mixing them with Rollers, Jump up and Neurofunk. Since returning back to the UK in March 2020, she made every effort to continue her DJ career throughout the pandemic by playing at several sit-down raves at Lakota Gardens in Bristol, The Cause in London, and doing live-streams for Goat Shed and Run Tingz TV with the likes of Siege MC (Soulvent), Jakes (Critical) and Maddy V (Sika Studios) hosting her set.
Out of lockdown, Natty has played out at some of UK’s super-clubs including London’s Ministry of Sound supporting Macky Gee and Netsky, Motion Bristol for RUN supporting Andy C, Bladerunner, S.P.Y and O2 Academy Oxford supporting Chase & Status. Over the next 6 months, you can catch Natty playing at Bedlam Cardiff, Ministry of Sound, and The Volks Brighton supporting Wilkinson, 1991, Shy FX, Flava D, GLXY, and more. She has already been booked for two festivals in Summer 2022 and is in close connection with Viper Recordings and Hospital Records.
Not only a DJ, Natty is a radio show host for Data Transmission Radio. Each month, she showcases the latest DnB tunes and invites special guests on her show including Fade Black (Critical), Keeno (Hospital) and Something Something. She has featured as a guest on Mollie Collins’ KISS FM show, as well as Marcus Nasty’s Rinse FM.
Natty is currently taking the next steps of her music career by working on music production. She is really enjoying the process of producing dancefloor Drum and Bass and has close ties with Tileyard London who work with Sigala, Ella Eyre, Joel Correy and more. She believes that focussing on production will help develop her into a well-rounded Drum and Bass artist and hopes to inspire others with her music.
