Vienna based DJ Aras began her musical journey early at the age of 6, playing the flute and later on the saxophone in an orchestra in her hometown in Upper Austria.

The love for electronic music started around 11-12 with dubstep and UKGarage and a few years later, after attending festivals and concerts a real passion for drum and bass came up.

In 2015 she moved to Vienna and it didn’t take long for her to start mixing at home and expanding her music collection. In the mean time she started helping organise one of Vienna’s well known Drum and Bass events ‘CONTRAST’ and continued to improve her DJing skills.

Having found her home within techy, rolling, deep and minimal sounds she had her first club appearance in April 2019and has been playing in some of the most well-known locations in Vienna (such as FLEX, Grelle Forelle, fluc, Ottakringer Brauerei, etc.) ever since. Her musical style was influenced by people like Alix Perez, Skeptical, Calibre, Spectrasoul and many more.

Aras and her good friend and fellow DJ/producer ‘Sequent’ are getting more and more attention with their monthly mix series ‘Sunday Sessions’ which was curated in January 2020 and features guestmixes from other DnB artists such as Kyrist, Alibi, Wingz, M-zine and many more.

So with Aras showing no sign of slowing down, make sure you keep your eye on this one!
