Asterix originally began her musical journey in the heart of Bristol, with her sets representing the range of inspiration she takes from different genres including hip hop, funk, soul and dancehall. Her tune selection always upholds her personal style and a level of versatility. Her performances are fragranced with hip-shaking melodies, irresistible basslines and an excitable atmosphere.
From Hospitality on the Beach to Boomtown, Rough Tempo to Rinse FM – and a solid collection more – Asterix has reached overseas and back bringing a selection of naughty and nice on our airwaves, festivals and events. Becoming a member of the Marcus Nasty Exceptional DJ Program has introduced Asterix to our radio waves regularly on Rinse FM, supporting side the likes of Benny L and Shimon.
Back to her beginnings, Asterix has been heavily involved in the equality and female movement that sits firmly in the music scene, and in 2018 represented the all-female collective Concrete Jungyals for International Women’s Day at events and radios across England. Being an avid member of the music scene and the female movement has always been vital to her, and they go hand in hand.
