Meet Mincy, a Sydney born and bred DJ whose diverse bass driven sets flow between dubstep, grime, bassline, uk funky, jungle, breaks and speed garage.
A regular around the Australian club and festival scene, Mincy has recently supported UK acts such as Mike Skinner, Madam X, Conducta, Royal T, Spooky, Preditah and Flava D. A huge set to a packed stage of Lost Paradise saw Mincy’s year off to a massive start, with further momentum building through headline shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra, big support slots up the Australian east coast, frequent sets at Melbourne’s famed Revolver Upstairs, and main room spot at UK label Tumble Audios’ biggest event of the year.
2020 has seen Mincy’s focus shift to production and music releases, with her debut track Cute Thing released on her self-run label Extra Spicy, with more of her music to be released on various labels this year.
Mincy’s fan base also reaches the UK, the original spot she cut her teeth as a DJ. She regularly featured on radio stations Mode FM, Reprezent and Pyro Radio before she was picked up by Marcus Nasty for his famed Rinse FM show, which she still frequently guests on today. Along with Rinse, Mincy has worked some serious mixes this year receiving airplay on Triple J, DeJaVu FM UK, Bondi Beach Radio, and a guest mix for N-Type and Sgt Pokes podcast. She currently also hosts a weekly show on Sydney’s Orbital Radio.
