Paige Julia is a creature that lives on an island in the South Pacific Ocean that spends her time tinkering with sound machines. She has released music with Samsara Beats (US), Forest Biz (UK), Uncomfortable Beats (AU) and Totally Roasted (NZ). Her music is inspired by the many faces of underground bass culture, navigating the grey area between breakbeat, dubstep, techno, DnB and hip hop.
Her summer is spent traipsing around Aotearoa New Zealand from festival to festival, delivering the world’s up-front bass music intertwined with her own productions + a round-the-year club circuit in any city with a sound system, keeping a busy schedule of developing music for performance and enjoying the process of sharing the experience of dance, frequency and emotion.
In 2020 COVID-19 has shifted the focus of her projects to creating more content during the lockdown periods, including an Ableton Live downtempo side project and finishing her debut bass music LP for the end of the year and eagerly preparing for New Zealand to re-enter periods of COVID eradication as it has already.
