Shady Novelle

Raised in North London by her Irish mother, Novelle grew up surrounded by musically passionate elders and singers. It was only natural for her to flow into the discovery of her own vocal abilities and musical talents from a young age, singing at family get togethers back in Belfast – a place she identifies as home. Her broken vocal textures and haunting tones emit an olden yet “new age” vibration. Having drawn inspiration from watching old black and white musicals with her mum as a child, Shady particularly resonated deeply with music from past era’s such as the 50’s and 60’s and felt a longing to replicate the feeling she received from music to provide the same for others. She began making her own style of experimental beats and recording her own original vocals in her bedroom when she was a teen.

She carries a magical and intimate presence throughout her work, delivering distinctive, catchy melodies that are unique yet familiar in resonance. Her creative demeanour still remains undefinable.

Best known for her release “I Can Be Your Future” alongside Mozey on Zinc’s renowned label Bingo Bass, she has a barrage of bangers in the pipeline for 2021 including an up and coming EP and lots of exciting new releases with some of the Drum and Bass scene’s finest Producers and Artists which are soon to be announced!
