Rooted in London and with Moroccan and South Sudanese heritage respectively, Lou Nour and Sancha Ndeko are the joint force of Sicaria Sound. From initially meeting at the back of a university lecture hall before working together in radio production, as Sicaria Sound they have since established themselves as tastemakers of innovative, low-end heavy sounds.
Having built a reputation for lively bass & percussion focused DJ sets that’s seen them booked for the likes of Outlook Festival, Glastonbury, Roskilde, Fabric, Atlas Electronic & CTM Festival as well as across Europe & North America, they also represent the Deep Medi Musik label as their official resident DJs. Alongside their prime time monthly residency slot on Rinse FM championing forward-thinking electronic music having gained a global cult following, the pair have appeared on BBC Radio 1 & 1xtra, NTS & Red Bull Radio and featured in DJ Mag, Mixmag & Resident Advisor amongst other notable platforms. A standout Boiler Room performance in April 2019 led to an encore in October of the same year with both live recordings amassing a collective 200,000+ views on YouTube. Early 2020 saw the launch of their label Cutcross Recordings to critical acclaim, having been established to promote the melting pot of bass-centric sounds teetering around 140 bpm. Most recently their journey into production sees their debut EP set to arrive in the last half of 2020, accompanied by a brand new outlet for both their own music & an exciting forthcoming venture.
