SoundGyal Saf

Bristol, United Kingdom

DJ Producer Drum And Bass Jungle

When it comes to her music, Saf is a pint-sized powerhouse as she packs heavy basslines and drums. She fell for the grittiness of Hip-Hop which has a special place in her heart and that’s the reason she loves DnB. Amongst deep basslines, you’ll hear jungle vibes throughout her music. Saf understands musicality so she’ll transport you through shadowy corners with murky tones and jungle flavours.

Although still studying, Saf’s a Ruffneck Ting resident and Co-Host on their local urban radio shows: Ujima and now SWU FM.  She has played events at some of Bristol’s most recognised venues and during lockdown, she has entertained by doing live streams for the likes of  Jungle Cakes and Fully Charged. She has also helped to raise money for the charity Love Music Hate Racism by doing two online live streams for Heavy Sonics, where she’s been described as “killing it as per (usual)”.

Following a sold out lockdown special at Lakota Gardens (Bristol) for Shutdown, for who she is now a resident for, Saf was asked to do a guest mix for Full Spectrum who described it as “A killer mix with jungle flavours laced throughout. Lockdown hasn’t stopped Saf making huge moves”.

She’s also played for Bristol’s Psyched at their sold out lockdown event where she delivered a heavy finale set for their Jungle V’s Reggae event.

Between completing college assignments, Saf’s also working on her own music and collaborations with other artists including Ruffneck Ting’s DJ Dazee. She’s really excited to be working with Ruffneck Ting, as well as being involved as a resident DJ, and on the monthly show on SWU FM with DJ Dazee and Jenni Groves. There’s loads going on behind the scenes too, lockdown won’t stop Saf from bringing the vibes, there’s lots of surprises in the pipeline so it’s an exciting time for all of us DnB lovers.
