Trypnotized is a DJ with a love for tunes on the trippy side. In her own words, she brings trippy, dark & techy grooves to make your shoes move. She’s been raving on the Manchester scene for years now, always front left in the dance. Her influences lie in oldskool, trance, and jungle. Her passion for Drum & Bass led Trypnotized to try her hand at mixing.
Since she started DJing she’s played a number of house parties, raves, and a handful of sets with Equilibrium, a night committed to addressing the gender imbalance in D&B. Trypnotized’s commitment to pushing the underground vibes shines through in her involvement with Shaundi Frequencies doing A&R, a channel which pushes the deeper and techy sounds of Drum & Bass.
Her sets range from the psychedelic and experimental side of D&B, through heavy neurofunk to liquid and sometimes a touch of scatty jungle. In 2020 she won the renowned Critical Music’s DJ competition, which saw her winning mix aired on the respected Rinse FM. Trypnotized is looking forward to getting back behind the decks again when raving resumes, the future may just see her dabbling in production.
